The Riccio String Quartet (RSQ) is an emerging group of young musicians based in Victoria, BC. Specializing in not only classical works, but also popular works and film music, the RSQ is the perfect addition to add to the ambience of your wedding or event!
Comprised of members Noah Mellemstrand, Jas Schweitzer (violins), Amanda Steinemann (viola/arranger/composer), and Alma Phanichphant (cello), the Riccio String Quartet was founded in 2020 at the University of Victoria. All four members are, or will be, graduates of the University of Victoria School of Music.
Performing across Greater Victoria in ensembles including the University of Victoria Symphony Orchestra and the Greater Victoria Youth Orchestra (GVYO), the RSQ has extensive experience performing in all sizes of groups. The musicians are also active teachers and mentors across Greater Victoria with experience as Teaching Assistants for the GVYO Summer Strings Program and with their own teaching studios.
The Riccio String Quartet is comprised of four successful musicians with their own careers and aspirations. Click to read more about each member!
